UVC Disinfection robot - STERYBOT®
At the end of 2019, the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus (Covid-19) presented humanity with new challenges. The pandemic led to a widespread shutdown of public life across large parts of the world. Solutions to regain control of the situation became increasingly sought after – including the need for fast, efficient, and as contact-free as possible disinfection of surfaces.
STERYBOT® independently eliminates up to 99.9% of all viruses and bacteria on surfaces using concentrated UV-C light. Its stainless steel housing, treated with an antimicrobial coating, prevents the robot itself from transmitting pathogens.
Mobile Robot as informational and entertaining platform - SCITOS A5
SCITOS® A5 is a versatile and interactive robot designed by MetraLabs for human interaction and for guiding visitors to products and exhibits.
At the world’s largest computer museum, the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum in Paderborn, two modern robots, PETER and PETRA, have been part of the permanent exhibition “Artificial Intelligence and Robotics” since 2013. Since 2023, they have been assisted by PAUL.
The robot TIM found a home at the German Museum of Technology in Berlin. Since September 2015, TIM has been guiding visitors through the exhibition “The Net. Humans, Cables, Data Streams.”
This project was indirectly funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme through an open call carried out as part of the TRINITY project (Grant Agreement No. 825196).
RoboLibri - interactive inventory robot
In collaboration with FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, RoboLibri has developed a mobile robotic platform equipped with an innovative RFID reading architecture for autonomous inventory management and precise product localization in all three spatial dimensions, as required in agile intralogistics.
Additionally, the platform features multimodal interaction interfaces for guiding people within intelligent production environments or as a service application, for example in libraries.
RoboLibri also provides general information access, enabling easy retrieval of metadata for the inventoried products.
Mobile Guides in the Shopping Mall - WeRobots
In 2013, we collaborated with Attraktion! GmbH from Austria to develop interactive robots. These devices can communicate not only with each other but also with people. Among other uses, they serve as mobile information points in shopping malls, guiding visitors directly to stores or attractions.
Hospitality Assistant
In many fast-food restaurants, customers receive their meals on trays. This is where tray robots come into play: when diners leave, they place their tray in the robot, which, depending on how full it is, returns the leftovers to the kitchen.
